We specialise in helping UK based contractors who are or have been paid through an umbrella company in the past. We have worked with many different umbrella companies, we understand a contractors needs, and recognise the stress that HMRC communication can cause. We provide an affordable service in comparison to other providers and offer an efficient, and more bespoke service tailored towards each individual contractors needs.

As you may be aware, there are a number of phishing scams where imposters convincingly pass themselves off as HMRC. It is always better to be cautious and check with us whether the communication you have received is genuine. For more information on phishing scams click here.

In this context, Contractors Support can act as your agent. An agent can help a contractor in dealing with HMRC related matters. Agents can offer you guidance, understanding and ongoing support when it comes to dealing with HMRC. Acting as an agent, we are authorised to prepare tax returns on behalf of a contractor and liaise with HMRC on your behalf so that you have minimal direct contact with HMRC.

Our services are designed to assist all UK based contractors who have ever been employed via an umbrella company.

Whether you need advice, whether you don’t have the time or whether you just don’t need the stress, Contractors Support will look after you.

In terms of completing a Self-Assessment for the 2022/2023 tax year, there are three key deadline dates that you, as a contractor should be aware of:

  • Self-Assessment Registration: 5 October 2023
  • Self-Assessment Paper Copy Submission: 31 October 2023

Once you register for our services, you can count on us to always be on hand to assist you with any HMRC related queries. We will always co-operate with HMRC, and communicate with them on your behalf to ensure any matter is actioned.
