This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement has been authorized and approved by the directors and will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. The directors endorse this policy statement and are fully committed to its implementation.

Introduction

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 06 April 2022 to 05 April 2023.

The statement sets down Our commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in Our business activities and the steps We have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in Our own business and supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small.  Staff are expected to report their concerns and management is expected to act upon them. 

Organisational structure and supply chains

This statement covers Our business activities which is the provision of professional advice and support in relation to HMRC compliance checks and preparation, advice and filing of self-assessment tax returns. The Company currently operates in the UK only.

We require Our supply chain partners to agree to this statement and to have their own Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking in place, which they adhere to. 

Responsibility for the Company’s anti-slavery initiatives 

Policies: The directors are responsible for creating and reviewing policies. The process by which policies are developed is by reviewing best practice in Our industry and generally and adapting the findings to Our needs.

Risk assessments: The directors are responsible for risk assessments in respect of human rights and modern slavery. The process for this is by way of review of Our existing processes and procedures with particular emphasis on how those processes and procedures impact Our customers, our workers and our suppliers.

Due diligence: The directors are responsible for due diligence in relation to known or suspected instances of modern slavery and human trafficking to gather information to confirm the actual position as far as possible. 

Training

To ensure a good understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, We require all workers to complete annual training on how to identify modern slavery and human trafficking, the tell-tale signs to look out for and the procedure to follow to report suspicions.

Policies

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in Our business or Our supply chains. This Statement affirms Our intention to act ethically in Our business relationships.

We encourage reporting of any known or suspected instances of modern slavery and human trafficking to our directors and require Our directors to act in relation to those reports and take steps required to prevent slavery and human trafficking in Our operations.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Statement on Our Site summarises how we manage our environmental impacts and how we work responsibly. 

We undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly reviews Our existing suppliers. Our due diligence process includes conducting identity checks, building long-standing relationships with suppliers and making clear Our expectations of business partners, both contractually and by this statement and invoking sanctions against suppliers that fail to improve their performance in line with an action plan provided by Us, including the termination of the business relationship.

Performance indicators

We use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure how effective We are in ensuring slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of Our business or supply chains. These include requiring all staff to have completed annual training on modern slavery and human trafficking, paying workers national minimum wage, as a minimum, providing workers with access to full employment rights, as required by law and requiring our supply chain partners to also comply with their legal obligations in this regard.
